WHAT WE STAND FOR
Our Mission
To assist individuals displaced in the community with temporary housing, and provide resources and care services for those diagnosed with health disparities with a priority for Sickle cell disease, both respite and family childcare needs as an advocate on their behalf.
Caregiver Support
We walk alongside caregivers and families — offering resources, connections, and a safe space for those who give so much of themselves every day.
Awareness
We educate communities, healthcare providers, and the public about sickle cell disease — because awareness saves lives and reduces stigma.
Advocacy
We amplify the voices of those affected, push for equitable care, and champion policy change to improve outcomes for sickle cell patients.

Our Story
Born from Love.
Built for Community.
Susters, Inc. was founded in honor of two extraordinary souls — my late sister, who passed away in 2020, and my child, who faces the daily challenges of sickle cell disease. Their lives ignited a mission that refuses to be silent.
We walk alongside sickle cell warriors and their families — and we extend that same commitment to homeless individuals, including our nation's veterans and disabled men and women seeking safe, dignified shared living.
We don't just raise awareness. We build community, advocate for change, and show up — because no one should have to figure this out alone.
This is more than an organization. It's a love letter to everyone I've fought for, cried for, and refused to give up on.
— Mary Moore, Founder & Executive Director
