Meet Mary Moore
Susters, Inc. was born not from a boardroom, but from a kitchen table — from late nights, hard conversations, and the unwavering love of a mother who refused to let her family fight sickle cell disease alone.
Mary Moore founded Susters, Inc. after years of navigating the sickle cell healthcare landscape firsthand. What she found was a system that too often left patients and caregivers without clear guidance, community, or hope. She decided to change that.
Drawing on her personal journey and the collective strength of the Moore family, Mary built an organization rooted in real experience — one that shows up for families the way she wished someone had shown up for hers.
Today, Susters, Inc. stands as a testament to what one person’s conviction can build: a community of warriors, caregivers, and advocates united around a common purpose.

Susters, Inc. is Founded
Moore Family Values becomes the cornerstone of a new nonprofit — Susters, Inc. — officially established to serve sickle cell families across Indiana with education, advocacy, and caregiver support.
Growth
Community Grows Stronger
Susters, Inc. expands its reach — hosting awareness events, building partnerships, and creating a growing network of warriors, caregivers, and allies across Indiana.
